ThermoClear Q & A

What is ThermoClear?

ThermoClear is an innovative radiofrequency platform used to treat a wide range of skin concerns in a matter of seconds. ThermoClear can effectively address most conditions in a single treatment.

Which conditions can ThermoClear treat?

ThermoClear can improve or eliminate a variety of skin blemishes and minor skin growths. Some of these include:

  • Sun damage/sunspots
  • Age spots
  • Skin tags
  • Keratosis
  • Milia (white bumps on the nose or cheeks)
  • Spider capillaries (including from rosacea)
  • Cherry angioma
  • Sebaceous hyperplasia
  • Cholesterol deposits

ThermoClear is an effective treatment for all skin types and tones, and it can be performed on the chest, face, hands, and most areas of your body.

How does ThermoClear work?

ThermoClear utilizes both low and high radiofrequency energy to target skin irregularities in the epidermis, or top layer of your skin, without harming the deeper skin layers underneath.

The gentle energy breaks apart the cells that form blemishes to reduce their appearance or eliminate them altogether.

Do ThermoClear treatments hurt?

ThermoClear treatments usually take one minute or less per targeted treatment area with minimal discomfort. Your Star Body expert may use a topical numbing gel to ensure your comfort during your procedure.

Is there any downtime with ThermoClear?

There’s no downtime following your ThermoClear session, so you can return to normal activities right after your appointment.

You may experience some mild redness, irritation, or minor scabbing on the treatment site, but the discomfort doesn’t last long. It’s a good idea, however, to avoid direct sun exposure to the area for a day or two after your procedure.

Am I a good candidate for ThermoClear?

If you’re generally in good health and you’d like to address signs of aging and other skin irregularities, you're likely a good candidate for ThermoClear. However, ThermoClear isn’t recommended if you’re pregnant or you have a pacemaker or other heart condition.

If you’re concerned that a skin growth might be cancer, you should seek an evaluation from a qualified medical provider before having it treated with any type of aesthetic procedure.
